Malta 08
Just back from a few days diving with Dive Deepblue in Malta, mostly wrecks, some new some old, here are a few, The new still look a bit new and the old are getting older and more fragile with each passing year.

Well some of you should know them well enough

Dived a couple of very nice tug boats off Zonta Point, but it was a real washing machine job in and out so no photos of them

So much to see, and so little time to see them.

Nice pics Bobco. The wife and I are going to Malta, Gozo and Comino in July and with all these reports about the "Dead Med", I was beginning to worry if we were going to see any fish. Glad to note there are a few still left. I like a good combination of wrecks & reef life.[/i]

RE: Malta 08
I saw a good few over the days I was diving, but as always it depended on who was down first and what time of the days it was. Remember, people can carry spear guns around here and the fish know that. But big groupers, barracuda are to be found along with octopus, in as many holes as you can look into. I love the place, you can dive it to almost any level of skill you have, or want to train up to

Yes, I have read that Malta ranks very low in nature conservation with bird shooting and spearfishing very common SadMad. I think local legislation needs tightening.

RE: Malta 08
Well now they are fully in the EU the bird shooting has stopped, I for one hated that, but spearguns have a bit further to go before they stop that

RE: Malta 08
Time for a petition perhaps... Great pics Bobco! I've always dived Menorca in the Med, and never had a problem. In fact, i'm taking Sarah to Menorca in September to sample the delights of Med Diving!

Maybe we'll give Malta a go next year!!!
