RE: The Forum Upgrade
Peter - the forum itself seems to be OK now but I'm having some challenges with inbound email notifications. Some have a "sender name" (usually "UKDivers Community Forum") but most dont....

RE: The Forum Upgrade
Peter - it all looks good but I'm having trouble with my reports today - it all seems painfully slow when I'm trying to add anything. Is it likely that the computers here in Indonesia are too slow to handle the upgrade?

Is it likely that the computers here in Indonesia are too slow to handle the upgrade? I had the same thing yesterday - and I'm in London. Its a bit faster now but still seems to have a lag between typing a letter and seeing it on the keyboard |

RE: The Forum Upgrade
Speed issues may the result of slow dissemination of the new formats/style sheets/graphics etc to ISP web proxy servers and (so-called) Internet Acceleration Engines.... All the previous data that these tools used to supply us speedy services would have needed to be overwritten with the new content as a result of the upgrade.
This can take time as it is end-user driven (i.e. by us accessing pages) and prioritised by demand, but when its complete you should be back to "normal" speeds. Simon ><(((º>`•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸.•´¯`•...¸><(((º>¸.•´¯`•.¸. , . .•´¯`•.. ><(((º>`•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸.•´¯`•...¸><(((º> |
