Would loved to have come along for this, but we are away this weekend. Will you be doing anymore of these? I am in the south west. Also PADI OW at the moment, is this suited to AOW?

PADI OW is absolutely fine - the in-water stuff is just some skills demonstrations and a try-out of any kit that you were interested in.

I'll probably run more of these as long as there is some interest, but mine will be in the North. There are a few other folk around the UK who also put on events like this in the Midlands (usually Stoney) and elsewhere. I know Mal is talking about another one in the next few months.

In fact the annual DIR Explorers event this year is at the NDAC on 13/14th December (http://www.direxplorers.com/dir-planned-...dac.html). That's a weekend bash that is similar to these days, but not aimed solely at those curious about GUE/DIR. Having said that if you are interested then it's another great chance to meet folk and find out more.

It went well I think - lots of good questions and interest, although the horizontal rain at Capernwray was a shame!

There'll be some more arranged in the near future - the next is likely to be at Stoney.
