I don't have a BluRay drive in my PC atm although I may invest in one.
I have connected this to the HDTV via HDMI and Optical cable to amp and play borrowed BluRay movies off t'internet. Will play virtually any file type "as is" ie DD 5:1, DTS, FLAC etc with no shortfall in quality. As you say it's a nice bit of kit. No more DVD's or CD's hanging around. If you aren't living on the edge you are taking up too much space! |

What size are the HD files?
I have ripped some to my external hard drive but they are taking up about 25Gb |

HD movie files can be anything from 4.5GB up to 10GB dependant on whether 720p or 1080p and a couple of other variants.
If you aren't living on the edge you are taking up too much space! |
