Where to carry weight?

RE: Where to carry weight?
Dan, as you've summised you need to play. As with just BCD, when you learned to dive and you started heavy, with a dry suit you'll find much the same. Start slightly heavy and take lead off as you gain confidence / control.

If we buddy up in Wales, I will carry additional trim weight so we can sort you out in real time.

RE: Where to carry weight?
As has been said, we all carry our weight and buoyant fatty tissue in different places. When I started diving with side mounted bottom gas I found getting a good trim way easier so have concluded my most fatty bit must be my torso which kinda equates with the 'love handles' and 'built in air bags' Rolleyes

IMHO, distribution across the body, where you need it is best, however, as soon as I started diving jet fins I never touched an ankle weight again Smile
