RE: Where to carry weight?
Dan, as you've summised you need to play. As with just BCD, when you learned to dive and you started heavy, with a dry suit you'll find much the same. Start slightly heavy and take lead off as you gain confidence / control.
If we buddy up in Wales, I will carry additional trim weight so we can sort you out in real time. Simon ><(((º>`•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸.•´¯`•...¸><(((º>¸.•´¯`•.¸. , . .•´¯`•.. ><(((º>`•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸.•´¯`•...¸><(((º> |

RE: Where to carry weight?
As has been said, we all carry our weight and buoyant fatty tissue in different places. When I started diving with side mounted bottom gas I found getting a good trim way easier so have concluded my most fatty bit must be my torso which kinda equates with the 'love handles' and 'built in air bags'
![]() IMHO, distribution across the body, where you need it is best, however, as soon as I started diving jet fins I never touched an ankle weight again
