Weekend in Oban
Hi,

I'm organising a trip to Oban for 21st to 23rd November

Accomodation on the friday and saturday night and diving on the "Silver Swift" 22nd and 23rd.

Due to a few people dropping out, I have a few spaces left..

Cost is £80 for the diving and £60 for the accomodation, we'll be staying in Oban on the friday night, get picked up Saturday morning and do two dives, then spend Saturday night in Tobermory, two dives on the Sunday and get dropped off back in Oban Sunday afternoon..

Can possibly arrange transport or just meet you up there..
If anyone is interested, please drop me a pm..

The dive sites are to be confirmed as will depend on weather etc..but if there are any sites that you really want to do, let me know..

The people already confirmed as coming are a friendly bunch, with varied diving experience, so it should be a nice relaxed weekend with some good diving, one or two beverages and some good laughs..

you're more than welcome to join us! Drop me a pm!

ta
Louise

Yep, sounds great but sadly I have to go to a 'girly' weekend with some old Uni mates where we just get to talk about weddings and babies all day... Confused1

RE: Weekend in Oban
Just done a week end with Paul and Silver Swift otherwise I'd jump at it.

If you havent dont the Sound of Mull yet, DO IT, its good diving, with good wrecks and scenic dives to be had. And because its quite sheltered your unlikely to be blown out completely.

I relly like diving the Hispania....

What goes around, comes around... so be nice to everyone.

We had a brill weekend thanks, in summary it went some thing like this.

Friday PM pick up at Oban, 12 divers plus kit steamed up the Sound of Mull to Tobermory. Dropped kit off in digs, went for a bite to eat and a beer. Then bed for an early ish start.

Sat AM, All board Silver Swift at 9am and steam out of the sound to dive two wrecks.
Dive 1 the Aurania,
Dive 2 the Tapti
Flat calm going out, during and after the dives. Then a steady steam home for gas fills wash, meal, and Drinks in the Mishnish.

Sun AM, steam down the sound, to dive another two wrecks.
Dive 1 the Hispania
dive 2 the Thesis
Once again calm seas for both dives.

Then steam back to Oban to load the car and head off home, knackered but well chuffed.Thumbup

Yep I love diving in the SoM.. Thumbs Up

What goes around, comes around... so be nice to everyone.
