Malta Recommendations?
Hello
Im hoping to head over to Malta in the next 2 months to do my PADI. (Annoyingly I have done my referral course (but that has now expired so Im starting from scratch) and have already done 3 dives and another session with dry suits.

Does anyone know a good place out there that is well run, with good diving? (Im hoping to fast track as I could go straight in for the exams having got a bit of experience under my belt already).

Thanks a lot

Best
Jasper

RE: Malta Recommendations?
My dive centre of choice in Malta is Meldives in Mellieha bay run by a guy called Mel Galea. Whilst it isn't all shiney like a lot of the dive centres in Malta, you get instructors who know the area like the back of their hands, and who know how to impart their knowledge with humour and patience. Equipment rental is included in the price of dives, so no need to lug your own gear out there if you don't want to. Top group of guys and girls.Thumbs Up

..it was like that when I got here...honest...

RE: Malta Recommendations?
Not Malta, but Gozo, you could try these people -
http://www.gozoaquasports.com/
Been with them and they will organise EVERYTHING (Except flights).
They arranged pick up at the airport & transfer to the ferry then transfer onto the accomodation on Gozo. Nothing was too much trouble.

RE: Malta Recommendations?
Another recomendation for Gozo Aquasports - I was in Gozo in July and we used them as our base and for air fills, kit etc.

Well organised, nice bunch of guys and instructors knew the Gozo sites like the backs of their hands. There are loads of great dive sites around Gozo and the Camino Islands above 18m and the island is a bit more laid back than Malta (in my opinion!).

Local beer is mega cheap as well!

Cheers

Stuart

This is true, Gozo is soooo laid back it's horizontal, but then again, Malta does make manãna sound busy!
