NEC Dive Show Nov 1st/2nd 2008 Who's going?

Not after (read: can't afford) much and once I factor in diesel, parking and entrance fees what I do want will certainly be cheaper locally.

The internet means that (IMO) there aren't the massive savings we all hope for and my LDS always does "show offers" in store anyway. It's great for information and the lectures but I'm not sure how worthwhie it is for general shopping. IMO you will always get a better level of service in a quiet shop (which hopes for return business) than a busy "market stall", so if you know exactly what you want great but if you are looking for advice personally I find shows are just too busy.

One tip is to take a rucksack with packed lunch and bottled drinks - food at the NEC is expensive.

Yeah - I don't think that I will buy much there - just want to try stuff on.

Apart from at the Emperor Divers stall where you get a voucher for a free days diving if you book 3 days with them. Suits me as I am off to dive with them in Nuweiba anyway!!!

I'm over in Gozo, so wont be able to make it along this year though.... but just delivered a DVD that will be going in my place, my first commissioned (i.e. I got paid!!!) job, a promo diving DVD for Calypso Divers in Marslaform. Pop by and see what you think (I'm also be uploading a copy to Vimeo, I'll post a link once that's ready), he should have it playing on the stand, looped with another DVD (mine's the one purely on diving)
