Fuji Finepix F50
I am not sure if this is the camera I have seen recommended and used by a lot of the members here but if it is this is a real bargain.
Fuji F50 If it is and anyone is interested in buying it do not forget your Quidco cashback |

RE: Fuji Finepix F50
I have a couple of mates with the f50 and they love them!
I'm currently on an f12 but looking to do an Xmas upgrade, was going to go with the f50 but I've just read the review of the f100fd in this month's Dive mag and that has swung my opinion. (on Play.com they have the f100fd at £199.99 for the cam and £99.99 for the housing)!! |

I'd really like a signiture, but due to a terminal lack of imagination . . . |

RE: Fuji Finepix F50
I stand corrected I knew nothing about the camera and had never looked at purchasing it.
I saw an advert for the link I posted and saw it was RRP £270 down to £120 and thought it sounded good. |

I still say the canon's are good - I really love my Ixus 80.

RE: Fuji Finepix F50
What Scubadiva said
I have a Canon A640 (£110 on fleabay) with the proper cannon housing (£110 Bristol Cameras) and it is great. It has an underwater setting which, while not perfect does deal with the lower end of the spectrum. Probably needs a bit more light (stobes etc) and the diffuser on the housing is a pita as it is so loose it comes off whenever it feels like it Stu |

RE: Fuji Finepix F50
Hi Aquafan - the MJU 790 doesn't have manual white balance or any manual control of shutter or aperture, so I'd say it's less than ideal, but it does have a couple of underwater scene modes that will help a bit.
If you simply want to point and shoot you'll get decent shots if stay within its limits. Best Regards, Mike Ward http://www.divewithmike.co.uk |
