RE: Post Processing and Macro
Thanks for your help on this Mike.
So which one would be better? Further back with the re-sampled 2x zoom, or the extra lens bringing me closer. I still have the macro effect from the initial lens using the digi zoom, and we're only talking a zoom thru a water column of only 2 or 3 inches. I was pretty happy with how close I was focussing as I am so think I'll leave it as it is for now ![]() Cheers ![]() Thanks again Woody ![]() Check my profile bio for my dive history http://www.scubysnaps.co.uk |

RE: Post Processing and Macro
I'd go for shooting with what you have now.
Your depth of field is so shallow already that in the water you'll find focusing pretty hit and miss unitl you've used the set-up a time or two. Then, if you want more you can try a second lens or go DSLR with a macro lens. Best Regards, Mike Ward http://www.divewithmike.co.uk |

RE: Post Processing and Macro
Thanks Mike, I'll do that, someone also told me that magnification thru a macro lens is a lot different underwater than it is on land also.
I already have decided never to go DSLR, way to much money! I've overspent as it is...out of interest ...do you have an Ikelite housing with TTL blank cover like I photo'd? Don't know if you could take a photo as close as you could to it with DSLR to show the difference with my pics? ![]() Check my profile bio for my dive history http://www.scubysnaps.co.uk |
