Hi, my name is Ian, Billy is just a nickname. I was born in Coventry but moved to Devon and spent most of my adult life in Teignmouth, Torquay and Newton Abbot. My wife Marian has 2 daughters from her first marriage and they both emigrated to Australia a few years ago, we visited them a couple of times and we soon realised that it was time to move to OZ ourselves! So we sold up, managed to buy visas and just came out knowing that if we stayed in the UK we would always regret not moving. We did love Devon and I still have a daughter there.
My Avatar is a photo of my first ever 'try dive' on the Great Barrier Reef off Cairns in Queensland in 2005, I loved it and took a PADI open water course at Teign Diving Centre, Teignmouth and then the Advanced course, the Enriched air Nitrox couse came next and that is where I am today. Now I am 'living the dream' in the Northern beaches(sea temp19-23deg all year) I have bought a Halcyon wing and my own cylinders I am going for Divemaster training this year.
