Pete asked whether you would dive with someone if you were unhappy with their kit choice, and now I'm asking, what pieces of equipment would someone have to have for you to be unhappy about them using it while diving with you? Exactly what would make you unhappy with someone's kit as their buddy?

In all seriousness, any kit configuration different to mine. By that I don't mean they must have the same torch, the same slap strap and the same lucky underpants. I mean anything different to manifolded twins, stages, gas etc.

Fins, mask, wings are all individual preference.

Well there are many different ways to set up stages, twinsets and wings, so do you mean no other configuration that how you set yours up?

No, if you want your stages right and left or all left that's fine with me. If you're referring to inverted twins, I'm not sure to be honest. I can probably count on one hand the number of times I've dived with someone with inverts and that would have been sub-20m.
I have no issue with comfort harnesses if that's what you're getting at in terms of wing set-ups, and as you already know, bungee is a non-issue for me.

Let's not forget here, you want me to be almost as comfortable with your rig as you are. In the event the brown stuff has an unexpected meeting with the twirly thing then you don't want me to be sat back thinking "where does that hose go?" or "I wonder where those bubbles are coming from?"

    Meh!
Your last paragraph is the main crux for me. With regards to equipment then a FFM diver isn't gonna be high up on my list. Nor one who dives with an Airtrim.

Shall we cut to the chase and lock this thread now? ;)

Very true, the only guys I've happened across with ffm were on boxes and diving solo. And Airtrims I believe are only on BCDs so I think I'd be unlikely to come across one on a tech dive. But you are right mate, no chance of primary donate/take with a full-face... unless you've seen Sanctum... 2 hours of my life I'll never get back

How about bungied long hoses? Independent twinsets? Come on, lets have some controversy... ;)

Bungied long hoses would be a no-no for me as would indies.

I can understand indies but why bungied long hoses?

The age-old arguments against it mate ;)

Why do you want it stowed?
Can you guarentee it won't snag when you come to deploy it?
    How do you restow it?
And if you're going to hog-loop it instead of restowing why not just hog-loop it?

Only number 3 is your problem as a buddy, I don't see why the others would concern you.
