I fail to understand how what I said was a load of 'lobbox' nor do I remember at any time changing my mind.

The OP said that when he inflated his wing he had the feeling of hanging underneath it. Now if he were wearing his weight on a belt/harness and the wing is lifting off his back due to the amount of air he had to have in it whilst he had good trim that would suggest to me that he might be overweighted. Hence the wing lifting off his back whilst he remains stationary and neutrally bouyant and he has a feeling of hanging beneath it. No change of mind and not lobbox either. But hey if you find it a tad too difficult to READ what I have written as opposed to attacking me straight out how are you expecting me to react?
As for your statement regarding "Woe is me? I'm just trying to help and everyone hates me? You're all picking on me?"........................................please grow up.

I have stated my opinion before now and I am not alone in my thoughts regarding the reactions of some of the members on here to some of the things written and the reactions of a small group of members to those posts.

I agree. But the Op didn't say he was wearing weight on his belt/harness, nor did you suggest that in your post, that was Suggsy suggesting it could be a reason. It later transpires that the OP had a V-weight on his backplate.

You said, and I quote once more:

    This, my friend, is lobbox.

If he is hanging under the wing, using it for bouyancy, then I fail to see how you can say he is, or "may well be", overweighted.

And this, I believe, is where I perceived the change of mind:

Please, elaborate on what exactly ztirfritz was correct about and what exactly was the point you suspected I was aware you were trying to make.

    If you see this:

... as "attacking you straight out" then maybe you are right, and this may not be the forum for you.

Now you're just copying me :)

And as has already been mentioned, just because someone disagrees with you it doesn't mean they are attacking you. Get over yourself, either have the balls to stand your ground without stamping your feet, or admit you were wrong and move on to the next thread.

I, like some others on this forum, love to see questions from new divers and new forum users. I, like some others on this forum, love being in a position to give something back to the community like those before me.

I, like some others on this forum, cannot abide people who give incorrect or opinionated information, and then pass it off as fact. At best it's misleading, at worst it's dangerous. So I hope you will excuse me if I, like some others on this forum, continue to call bullshit when I see it.

Now, after such a long post I'm feeling like I need a little lie-down and maybe look at some special-interest websites like the perceived tosser I am.

I have the feeling that you have totally misconstrued what I was attempting to say and the point that I was trying to make. It was merely an observation of what MIGHT have been the problem for him. Nothing more, nothing less. Such a shame that people such as yourself can't seem to see that. I did finish that post with "if that makes sense" for fear that I hadn't explained myself fully. Perhaps if I had asked the question as to whether he had weight on a belt or harness that may have made it clearer as to what I meant. In which case my fault but still IMO not necessary for you to jump straight at me. WTF I am trying to explain I am unsure!

I too "like some others on this forum, love to see questions from new divers and new forum users. I, like some others on this forum, love being in a position to give something back to the community like those before me."

"I, like some others on this forum, cannot abide people who give incorrect or opinionated information, and then pass it off as fact. At best it's misleading, at worst it's dangerous. So I hope you will excuse me if I, like some others on this forum, continue to call bullshit when I see it."
Piss off you pompous prick! I don't consider that I fall into the category of passing off incorrect or opinionated information as fact.

And on that note I will get my coat.

Well, interesting reading. Excuse me if I see past all this, but im here to get better at what i do. ultimately the technique i adopt remains my decision and any opinion or suggestion from other forum members, as clear or unclear as it may be, is simply advice and not something that has to be taken for granted, not at this level of diving anyway. its me at 50+m and not the forum member making the suggestions. i thought that my mornings post would help in moving along with the unhelpful discussion but as i see it has done nothing to improve the mood on this thread. so ill try again.

Great dive this morning, using the wing more than suit for buoyancy control and today actually felt overweighted. Could easily stay at 3m during my deco stop with some air in wing. More fine tuning on the wing setup and hose routeing and i can start enjoying the actual dive and not be too concerned with comfort and equipment.

To all on this thread, I dont know who you are, but tomorrow is another day. Lets be happy we have it.

Nothing atm unfortunately. Dealing with some health issues. Thought I was having a flare up of my R Arthritis but apparently not. Believed to be a viral infection of some sort which is affecting all my joints in a v painful manner and dragging on since early October now. The medical profession seem at a loss to identify & deal with it. One day soon I hope as the next trip myself and swmbo have booked is a two week Maldives one. One week liveaboard followed by a week on an island in April/May. Have to be sorted by then surely! The last diving I did was a weeks liveaboard in the Red Sea last September. I don't suppose this 'viral infection' came from there! Who knows.
Sorry for being the unwitting architect of your thread going way off track but glad that you appear to be moving in the right direction. Hope all works out and you start to enjoy your diving again.
