Nice one! Looking forward to doing the Dry-Suit course myself this year... any tips?

Whack yourself upside down as much as possible.
Get your buoyancy right in relatively calm waters before progressin to the rougher stuff
Use little pulses of air at a time

Have you bought your suit yet?

No... funds are limited, and I'm after a decent Umbilical Torch before I splurge on a drysuit. But, figured it would be sensible to get the course sorted first, then I'm qualified to test a few different suits out before buying.

    Cheers for the tips! ;)

The other advice is don't listen to any advice about what's the best drysuit. Think I tried every suit in the shop on. Went for the typhoon discovery. Well happy with it. Great fit from off the peg

I guess the best thing to do in that respect is to consider advice regarding what are considered to be the 'best features' for a drysuit, rather than the 'best drysuit'... then find the one that fits best, with the features you want?

Enjoy the trickle of cold water when you put a kink in your neck seal! :D
