Hey, what are you all planning this year.

Simple for me, I’m going to do my ling held promise of getting back into things. I booked a Weymouth trip in June or July (must check!) to spur me on. Also in conversation with my club secretary about organising a Scapa trip for ‘21.

My plans are much the same as last year. I'll be doing local shore diving and boat diving from Weymouth and Portland.

Also, to help with club training and enable others to play with toys (DPVs), I will add the occasional quarry trip this year.
Why wait until summer? The quarries are normally open and the sea is looking quite flat today, and is still about 10c round here.

I expect i'll be doing some more Ghost Fishing and a few odd weekends here and there, hoping to meet up with my GUE friends more this year as I didn't see them all that much last year.

I'm going to Scapa Flow !!!! (in October)

I've got a trip to Plymouth booked in August, and i expect the rest will be odd weekends and single days here and there.

I'm thinking about Ghost Fishing's winter warmer /workshop in February

Last year, I made an "intent" to dive at least once in each calendar month, and I almost made it (a few dropped due to other commitments or getting blown out)

Why wait? I booked it last year as a goal for getting back to it. I’ll need to do a good bit of diving before as I’ve not dived for over a year. Will start with some pool and quarry dives then the sea.

After having big plans for last year scuppered by a heart problem (Atrial fibrillation, now hopefully fixed), I've not been in the water since April. I'm hoping to get the all clear to dive again next month.

I've not booked much so far, except Oban in November with the club, but the plan is to do MOD 1 in spring, then get as much diving in with the club as possible, out of Scarborough and up in scotland, as well as muddy puddles, to get some practice in on the rebreather.

I quite fancy having a dive or two this year...

I'll need to scrounge regs and tins first though.

I’m there 8th/9th of February. Her cylinders need testing so will drop them off then so it can’t be before that (because you can’t fill the cylinders)

Hopefully at NDAC next Saturday 18th doing some bimbling. If you’d be interested @Doomanic, I could put together a twinset rig.

Aside from that, hoping to get some Mexican cenote and bluewater diving under my belt. Will make a big change from UK diving.

Want to stop blowing bubbles this year as it’s getting quite expensive just for gas, not to mention it’s very heavy and a logistical PITA.

Will look at the usual selection of south coast dives, but probably fewer than last year’s ~60 wreck dives which included two Scapa trips. Although the number of dives last year were fewer than the year before, the dive times were longer and most were single dive days.

Found that Scapa trips are pretty good value for money, great diving and nice company. Might look at another trip this year. In any case want to do some more Scottish diving.

If the boat doesn’t sell, may well do more sailing.

I think that the main intention is to take more time off work to do more of the things I want to whilst I have the opportunity.

Hopefully will dive with many of the people on here too.

Who knows. With a recent addition of a 2 month old adding to my 23 month old, and deploying overseas with the Army next week for 2-3 months I’ll not be wet until April.

Main aim for me this year is to complete my TDI Normoxic Instructor.

Got a weeks Trimix booked in July. 2 weeks in Gibraltar in October (unfortunately over the NEC) plus a number of BSAC IT events. I’ll put a plan together when I’m back in the UK.

Just joined BSAC, so a lot more sea UK diving on the club RIB out of Newhaven. Got my first live aboard booked in October in the south red sea. Trying to convince the wife to give the warm water diving a go.

Sort some decent gloves out and something else that I won’t talk about.
